Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Description:

The Maintenance Mechanic oversees the general maintenance and operation of the facility, landscaping, janitorial, machinery, and small projects on a daily basis to ensure that the overall physical and functional condition of the real estate presents a professional appearance, safe environment and meets regulatory requirements. This position reports directly to the Property Manager.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the installation, operation and repair of mechanical and electrical systems, testing and calibrating of electronic HVAC and building environmental controls; and conducting EMS audit to insure systems are meeting requirements.

Experience & Education:

Minimum high school education amd 5 years hands-on experience in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs in a large multi-story office building, industrial building, or large medical office space required. EPA certification preferred but not required. Proficient in reading and comprehending MEP drawings. CFC certification required after six months employment. Combination of training and/or experience may provide the desired knowledge and abilities.

US citizen or US visa. Valid driver's license. Must have reliable transportation, and be able to respond to emergencies 24/7. Must be able to work overtime, if necessary, to complete assignments. Must meet physical requirements of the job, climbing, working off ladders, lifting, etc. Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and 100 pounds on occasion. Must be able to shovel snow on occasion. Other physical activities, such as bending and stooping over may be required.

Screening requirements include motor vehicle, drug screening and criminal background check.
